<p> This study aims to evaluate the attitudes of students studying in the Faculty of Health Sciences and taking or not taking geriatrics courses towards the older adults, in order to determine the need for geriatrics course content in the field of health sciences. Research data were collected from 611 health sciences faculty students. Personal Information Form and Attitudes Toward Old People Scale (ATOP) were used to collect data. Data were collected online via Google Forms using the Personal Information Form and the ATOP. SPSS 21.0 program was used for all data analysis process. It was determined that the mean age of the participants was 20.96±2.56 (20-42) years, 487 (79.7%) were women. 57.6% Participants did not receive any training about older adults and 78.2% stated that they had not given care of the older adults before. The total score of the scale was 121.54±14.49. Based on the students’ responses to the questions in the demographic information form, statistically significant differences were found between their total ATOP scores and variables such as receiving education on older adults care, having prior experience in caring for an older adults, knowing the age at which aging begins, and willingness to live with an older adults (p&lt;0.05). For this reason, it was thought that adding theoretical and clinical applications for the older adults in higher education Institutions to the curriculum and informing the society would contribute positively.</p>
