Uncommon Encounters: A Case Series of Follicular Lymphoma Presenting in the Parotid Gland
摘要
Follicular lymphoma (FL) is a slow-growing type of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma that primarily targets the lymph nodes. The occurrence of primary extranodal presentation, particularly in the salivary glands, is uncommon and can be easily mistaken for a benign salivary gland lesion, thus delaying diagnosis. These reports describes two patients with parotid gland FL, each with a unique presentation, course, and management approach. These cases remind us that not all parotid swellings are benign, underscoring the importance of a thorough diagnostic workup in persistent, unexplained salivary gland enlargements.
