Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA/OSAS) is a widespread health problem with impact on cardiovascular, pulmonary, central nervous system functioning and significantly affecting the quality of life. The traditional diagnostic methods included questionnaires, physical examination and polysomnography (PSG) which is time and resource intensive. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a promising horizon in the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of OSA. In this study, we discuss the potential of AI in OSAS management and the challenges that further needs to be addressed for the same.
