<p>Acute traumatic laryngeal injuries frequently presents a challenging airway care issue and can be fatal. Due to aphonia or intubation following an injury, patients may be unable to provide crucial anemnestic facts. Therefore, for a successful outcome, prompt recognition, suitable initial assessment, and treatment are essential. Ensuring a suitable airway, either through cautious intubation or a temporary tracheotomy, is the first step. It is necessary to evaluate any possible oesophageal and vascular damage. Damage from blunt neck injuries can be identified and localized with the help of computed tomography with contrast material. When evaluating the injuries prior to surgery, fractures of larynx and the penetration of contrast material in the neck are all useful. The goal of immediate first surgery is to restore the mucosa and stabilize the cartilaginous foundation. We describe the diagnosis, course of therapy and outcome of a situation involving serious damage to the larynx caused by blunt force to the neck.</p>
