<p>Primaries typically start in the skin of the head and neck, making malignant melanoma of the parotid gland a rare occurrence. Less than 0.7% of all malignant tumours of the parotid gland are thought to be primary malignant melanoma of the parotid gland (PGMM), and the majority of case reports are used to identify its characteristics. The primary course of treatment is surgery. Because the condition is uncommon, the role of adjuvant treatment is debatable. We are presenting the case of a 39-year-old woman who had swelling in the right neck node. An excision biopsy revealed that she had metastatic malignant parotid melanoma. The patient then had a complete neck dissection (I–V) and a right radical parotidectomy. Primary malignant melanoma of the parotid gland was verified by the post-operative histopathology report using IHC. Although there is now no clear agreement on how to treat them in terms of adjuvant radiation or immunotherapy, early detection and aggressive, sufficient treatment are necessary to increase the survival rate and quality of life.</p>
