摘要

Traumatic facial nerve injury is the second leading cause of facial paralysis, presenting significant challenges. Understanding these injuries is critical to optimize recovery and functional outcomes. The purpose of this study is to elucidate the clinical management and prognostic outcomes of eight patients diagnosed with post-traumatic facial nerve palsy, exploring both medical and surgical interventions. This case series analyzed the clinical trajectories of eight patients presenting with post-traumatic facial nerve palsy. Comprehensive data on treatment modalities, encompassing both conservative and surgical approaches, were systematically reviewed and correlated with clinical outcomes. Early surgical intervention demonstrated a significant correlation with enhanced functional recovery, whereas medical management showed efficacy in select cases. The findings from this case series underscore the importance of an integrative therapeutic approach, encompassing both medical and surgical strategies, in the management of post-traumatic facial nerve palsy.
