摘要

Bilateral congenital dacryocystocele is a rare, congenital anomaly of the lacrimal drainage system in a newborn. The case was determined to be a bilateral dacryocystocele after an endoscopic examination and confirmed by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan. Awareness of this entity is important, as it may cause a delay in referral to an otorhinolaryngology (ORL) specialist and subsequently, a delay in diagnosis. Therefore, it should be considered when there is unusual swelling present between the eyes of a newborn and it does not improve with medical treatment.
