<p>Based on interview data with different actors involved in decisions regarding medication for young people in residential care, it can be shown that young people themselves are rarely involved in this process. Their bodies become an issue particularly when they do not “function” as society expects them to. The metaphor analysis from the project MEDIJU, on which this article is based, places the metaphorical concept of the ‘container’ at the centre of the argument.</p>
