Der zu-pflegende Körper
摘要
The following article examines how bodies in need of care are addressed and negotiated in various fields of social work. The aim is to show that bodies in need of care are primarily constructed in a deficit-oriented manner in social work. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology of the body, the article argues not only for a more critical reflection on the processes of constructing and attributing meaning to bodies, but also for a greater focus on bodies as a whole.
