摘要

The article emphasizes the central importance of sexuality as a cross-cutting theme in social, educational, and counseling professions and calls for a reflective, academically grounded engagement with it in Social Work. It notes that the topic has so far been only marginally anchored in curricula and rarely addressed from a social work research perspective, but points to growing activities and collaborations in this field since 2022, for example through the inter-university lecture series Sexuality in Social Work. The special issue brings together contributions from this collaboration to highlight current sexuality research in the context of Social Work and to provide impulses for professionalization, networking, and curricular development.
