Quartiersarbeit in Zeiten des Rechtsrucks
摘要
The article highlights how Forum Weingarten e. V. in the Weingarten district of Freiburg is responding to social polarisation and right-wing attitudes. Based on observations of the 2025 federal election, concrete practical experiences and reflections from social work, it shows how spaces for dialogue are created, conflicts are resolved and democratic values are anchored in everyday neighbourhood work. The authors describe strategies they use to negotiate tensions between openness, attitude and protection against discrimination, reflecting on their own dilemmas and ambivalences. At the heart of this is the conviction that relationships and trust form the basis for dialogue and change. The article is intended as a reflection on practice that highlights the socio-political relevance of neighbourhood work in times of a shift to the right.
