<p>The shortage of professional social workers and the work situation in the public youth welfare offices is described as precarious in many places. With reference to this, the following article provides insights into the working reality and their perceptions of the highly demanding tasks in this area of activity from the perspective of two social workers in ASD in different federal states.</p>
