Aufarbeitung von missbräuchlichem Medikamenteneinsatz
摘要
The following article presents empirical findings from the study “Abusive use of medication in children and adolescents since the founding of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia until 1980.” With regard to previous state-specific studies on medication abuse in inpatient facilities for child and youth welfare, inpatient disability care, psychiatric institutions, and so-called “Verschickungsheimen” (residential treatment centers), the experiences and perspectives of those affected were placed at the center of attention for the first time. The study emphasizes that those affected continue to suffer twice over as a result of the misuse of medication and the silencing of their voices. The authors argue that the perspectives and voices of those affected should be recognized as a central benchmark in (scientific) reappraisals.
