<p>The article outlines the debates that have been taking place in Germany since the mid-2000s on the successful work of youth welfare offices in child protection. Building on this, it provides an current insight into the design and implementation of the quality development procedures introduced in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Child Protection Act. The aim of the procedures is to further develop their work in child protection together with the youth welfare offices on the basis of a&#xa0;broad analysis.</p>
