摘要

This paper addresses the topic of consumption competence from the perspective of consumers of illegalized substances. In the context of a master’s thesis, three qualitative interviews were conducted with individuals who primarily consume illegalized substances in party settings. Based on these interviews, a process model of consumption competence was developed, which understands consumption competence as a process of weighing, reflection, and modification. The paper examines existing definitions of consumption competence and critiques of these definitions. The model developed in the thesis is presented using various excerpts from the interviews. Finally, the results are reflected upon in light of previous concepts and definitions of consumption competence, and suggestions are made for further development of the concept of consumption competence.
