Purpose <p>Liver diseases like nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, liver cirrhosis, and chronic hepatitis B are the most common chronic liver diseases worldwide. At present, there is no effective treatment available in the therapy of such clinical conditions. Acupuncture is a long-established treatment in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In recent years, increasing evidence has pointed to the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of chronic liver diseases.</p> Recent Findings <p>Previous reviews have not discussed the effects of acupuncture therapy on liver diseases, but a certain degree of progress has been made in the study of related mechanisms.</p>
