A Review of Microstructures and Properties of High-Entropy Alloys Manufactured by Laser Metal Deposition
摘要
High-entropy alloys (HEAs) have attracted much attention due to the excellent mechanical and physical properties. Moreover, additive manufacturing (AM) provides more potential for engineering applications of HEAs. Especially, laser metal deposition (LMD), one of the most extensively applied AM processes, is a promising direct free-form fabrication technique for preparation of HEAs. This comprehensive review examines the current state of LMD of HEAs, including microstructures and properties. The phase constituents and microstructures have been reviewed, and then the mechanical properties consisting of microhardness, tensile properties, compressive properties, cryogenic and high-temperature properties, as well as the functional properties, such as wear, corrosion resistance, oxidation behavior and magnetic properties, have been summarized. Next, the effect of microstructure on mechanical properties as well as the influence of post-treatment on microstructure and mechanical properties were analyzed. This can help researchers to quickly learn the research progress of LMD-deposited HEAs and promote the industrial application of LMD-fabricated HEAs.
