<p>This study investigated the effects of full ingredient disclosure on product safety and process efficiency in air-freshener manufacturing by combining perception surveys of production managers with SuperPro Designer simulations. The survey results indicated that ingredient disclosure positively affects product safety and quality control, prompting practical improvements such as the addition of filtration steps and the use of safer fragrance stabilizer materials. The simulation results showed that automation rates increased from 15.6% in the pre-full-disclosure process (PFDP) to 48.9% in the full-disclosure process (FDP) and further reached 95% in the eco-friendly and automated process (EFAP). Similarly, unit productivity approximately doubled from 44 to 88 units/person-hour (comparing the PFDP and EFAP, respectively). The FDP achieved the most favorable balance of efficiency and profitability, with a unit cost of USD 2.08 and a return on investment (ROI) of 94.6%. In contrast, the EFAP exhibited a lower ROI of 31.3%, despite being fully automated and using eco-friendly materials. Environmental assessments revealed minimal differences in total emissions across the three processes, although enhanced process monitoring and risk management offer potential long-term benefits. Consumer trust and brand image scores averaged 3.8 out of 5, indicating a moderately positive effect of ingredient transparency, highlighting its potential as a strategic tool for sustainable management and corporate competitiveness.</p>
