Deep coal seams and water-bearing structures detection with CSAMT lateral constraint inversion technique in Ordos basin
摘要
The lateral constraint inversion (LCI) technique based on L-BFGS is applied in the data processing of controlled source audio magnetotelluric (CSAMT) exploration at Xinjie Yijing area in Ordos basin for deep coal seams and water-bearing structures and achieved high resolution, high reliable, and high efficiency. Significant advantages of the proposed LCI technique in CSAMT inversion over traditional 1D method is also shown clearly in this paper with example. With utilization of drilling data, the distribution ranges of water-bearing areas, faults and interlayer fractures in the sedimental strata and coal seams are preliminarily delineated to the depth of over 1000 meters. The interpretation results provided an important support to mining design and safety exploitation.
