摘要

Decisions regarding gradual easing of restrictions (“leave decisions”) represent a key interface between therapy, risk management and public safety in residential forensic psychiatric services. Despite their high practical relevance, the empirical evidence supporting the instruments used in routine practice to predict leave violations and absconding remains limited, particularly in German-speaking countries. This paper presents a planned collaborative, prospective, multicenter research project aimed at addressing this research gap. The objective of the project is the practice-oriented validation of instruments for assessing short-term risks (START, LIVELT) as well as the therapeutic relationship (DRI-SF) as a protective factor in German-speaking countries.
