<p>Acne vulgaris, affecting millions worldwide, primarily targets adolescents and young adults. Conventional treatments such as topical retinoids and antibiotics often have side effects, prompting interest in essential oils (EOs) as potential alternatives. Although, comprehensive data on EOs specifically targeting <i>Cutibacterium acnes</i> (formerly <i>Propionibacterium acnes</i>), a key bacterium in acne development, is lacking. To address this, we developed the Anti-<i>Cutibacterium acnes</i> Essential Oil Database (ACuaEODB), a specialized database cataloging EOs with significant antibacterial activity against <i>C. acnes</i>. The database includes 1107 entries (671 unique) of EOs, derived from manually curated PubMed articles. It features detailed information on EO names, sources, types, experimental validation, target strains, and inhibitory concentrations. Users can access robust search functions, customizable queries, and various data export options. ACuaEODB stands out from general EO databases by focusing exclusively on EOs effective against <i>C. acnes</i>, offering a valuable resource for researchers and clinicians exploring natural acne treatments. This database advances acne treatment research by providing targeted, detailed information on EOs, supporting the development of natural alternatives to conventional therapies.
