Critical appraisal of “computer vision for evaluating retraction of the neurovascular bundle during nerve-sparing prostatectomy”
摘要
This letter commends Shah et al. for linking computer vision-based video features to erectile function after prostatectomy. However, it highlights key limitations: lack of temporal dynamics, absence of validation, omission of laterality, and undefined clinical thresholds—calling for more rigorous methods to enable real-time, outcome-driven surgical feedback.
