Advances in graphene oxide composites for the heterogeneous electro-Fenton process: a mini-review
摘要
One of the most straightforward and efficient techniques for handling a broad range of organic contaminants in a liquid medium is the heterogeneous electro-Fenton (HEF) process. In recent years, graphene oxide (GO) and its composite materials have gained significant attention as promising heterogeneous catalysts due to their high surface area, abundant oxygen-containing functional groups, tunable electronic structure, and excellent dispersibility. The HEF process, which uses graphene-based electrodes, is thought to be a cleaner and more promising way to quickly generate reactive oxygen species for mineralizing organic pollutants. For increased catalytic activity, stability, and reusability, several HEF catalysts are immobilized using graphene derivatives. Graphene-based materials have great promise for mineralization and degradation of many contaminants, as well as for advanced oxidation processes like HEF. This mini-review provides an overview and explanation of the present applications of graphene-based materials in HEF.
