<p>Phase identification and analysis of 29 annealed ternary alloys enabled the creation of an isothermal section of the Zr-Fe-Bi phase diagram at 400&#xa0;°C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), x-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), x-ray diffraction (XRD) studies were used for the research. The above-mentioned studies confirmed the presence of the Zr<sub>6</sub>FeBi<sub>2</sub> (τ<sub>1</sub>) phase, led to the identification of two novel ternary compounds: Zr<sub>5</sub>Fe<sub>2</sub>Bi (τ<sub>2</sub>) and Zr<sub>2</sub>Fe<sub>3</sub>Bi (τ<sub>3</sub>), and establishment of the phase equilibria between them. The crystal structures of these intermetallic compounds are presented. The ranges of solid solutions associated with binary compounds were also determined.</p>

Phase identification and analysis of 29 annealed ternary alloys enabled the creation of an isothermal section of the Zr-Fe-Bi phase diagram at 400 °C.
