The Cracking Cause Analysis of Equal-Diameter Tee Pipe Body of Metering Skid
摘要
Aiming at the cracking problem of equal-diameter tee for metering skid, it affects the application reliability of oil and gas pipeline network. In this paper, L360N steel is taken as the research object. By means of macro- and micro-morphology analysis, fluorescent magnetic particle inspection, chemical composition analysis, hardness testing and energy spectrum analysis, and relying on the production technology of this kind of tee, the cracking reasons of the equal-diameter tee of the metering skid are analyzed. The results demonstrate that L360N steel measuring skid with equal-diameter tee utilizing cold forming technique, its chemical composition, Vickers hardness, metallurgical organization, and grain size correspond to the specification. Its surface crack is a cold-forming closed fracture that starts on the inner wall. The tee's initial crack enlarges further, and fatigue failure happens during transportation as a result of cyclic loads. Strengthening factory inspection, transportation program review, and tee production and processing quality control is advised.
