摘要

This study examines the effect of pre-cold corrugated pressing on the interfacial characteristics and bonding strength of hot-pressed Mg/Al laminated composite plates. Corrugations of controlled wavelengths (2, 4, and 6 mm) were first impressed on 1060 aluminum sheets via cold pressing, and then AZ31 magnesium and corrugated aluminum layers were hot-pressed together (40% thickness reduction at 350 °C in air) to fabricate laminated composites. Results show that introducing a corrugated interface significantly enhances interfacial bonding compared to a flat interface, achieving shear strengths over twice that of flat-bonded plates. The intermetallic diffusion layer formed at the Mg/Al interface is non-uniform along the corrugated interface, with its thickness decreasing from the wave peak (WP) to the wave valley (WV) positions. Among the tested corrugation sizes, the 2 mm wavelength achieved the best overall bonding performance.
