Effect of PTFE on the Corrosion Resistance and Tribological Behaviors of NiP-PTFE Coatings
摘要
The influences of PTFE on the corrosion resistance and tribological behaviors of electroless Ni-P coatings were investigated. Different contents of PTFE (0, 10, and 20 g/L) as emulsion were added into the electroless bath to prepare the composite coatings. The results show that the coatings are amorphous and PTFE distribute uniformly in the coating. Hardness of the coatings decreases gradually with the increase of PTFE content. The corrosion resistance of the coating is obviously better than that of the substrate of medium carbon steel, and the coating obtained in the bath with 10 g/L PTFE has the beat corrosion resistance. Moreover, the Ni-P series coatings have lower friction coefficient and better wear resistance than that of 316L stainless steel in 3.5 wt.% NaCl, which shows great application potential as friction parts in marine environment.
