A Comprehensive Review of Cement-Based Piezoelectric Composites: Configurations, Performance and Application
摘要
Cement-based piezoelectric composites (CPCs) have been rapidly developed in the civil engineering field to monitor building heath and provide an early warning of potential disasters, owing to their piezoelectric performance. Therefore, in this paper, we systematically provide an overview of the recent research on CPCs, including the performance parameters, basic configurations, preparation process, applied piezoelectric materials, and applications. We conclude that the performance parameters of ε, d, k, and Qm are always considered to estimate the performance qualities for CPCs, and the commonly used configurations are 0-3 type, 1-3 type, and 2-2 type CPCs, which are fabricated by different preparation processes. The characteristics and piezoelectric properties of lead-based and lead-free-based piezoelectric materials applied in CPCs are explained in detail. Finally, this paper introduces the current application status and summarizes existing problems while also proposing future developments for CPCs, which is very promising in the field of civil engineering.
