Mathematical Modeling of the Eccentric Bottom Tapping of Liquid Steel from Electric Arc Furnace
摘要
This work focuses on the mathematical modeling of the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) tapping process, considering the complex geometric characteristics of the EAF, to construct the drain curve. Water model experiments were performed using a scaled-down EAF to validate various process conditions. The mathematical model outcomes were found to be in good agreement with the experiments. Further, a discussion on the influence of the shape of metallurgical reactors on the drain curve and the application of a formulated equation for process control has been presented.
