摘要

A novel model is built based on the experimental characterization and theoretical calculations to clarify and unify the relationship between microstructure and strength in different lath martensite steels. The equivalent lath size (ELS), which is jointly determined by both lath and block widths, can act as an effective indicator of the strength of lath martensite. According to the statistical analyses, a modified Hall-Petch expression between ELS and strength is further proposed in different carbon-containing steels. Its reasonability and feasibility of the currently suggested model is finally verified successfully by both low and medium carbon steels.
