Sequenztherapie des metastasierten kolorektalen Karzinoms
摘要
The introduction of interdisciplinary and targeted treatment approaches has significantly improved the overall survival of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). This article presents the various options for interventional and systemic sequential therapy.
MethodsA descriptive summary of current studies is provided based on literature research in PubMed as well as on guidelines and congress contributions from the European Society of Medical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
ResultsResection and/or local ablative procedures achieve a 5-year survival rate of up to 45% and are potentially curative. The value of liver transplantation is still unclear. Based on the molecular biology of the tumor, first-line systemic therapy is also increasingly targeted.
ConclusionThe use of targeted and interventional treatment strategies, particularly in the case of objective response, should always be considered to optimize prognosis and outcome.
