<p>A parental cancer diagnosis can result in sudden upset and considerable strain for the entire family system. The new Familien-SCOUT intervention from the Centrum für Integrierte Onkologie Aachen, Bonn, Köln, und Düsseldorf (CIO-ABCD) cancer center network and the Aachen Caritas Association shows how multidimensional support can be designed for all family members and how the burden can be effectively reduced.</p>
