Individual psychodrama therapy with an auxiliary: from dyadic to triadic interactions
摘要
J.L. Moreno has often worked with an auxiliary in individual therapy. This is no longer the case today. Based on theoretical considerations of early dyadic and triadic child development, this article, published in the Zeitschrift für Psychodrama und Soziometrie (ZPS), develops a theoretical framework for this particular therapeutic setting and illustrates how an auxiliary can facilitate broader role exploration in a patient’s scenic work. The article also outlines strategies for enhancing the patient’s ability to triangulate through a triadic therapeutic setting and critically examines the potential challenges of this setting. Finally, the authors argue for the integration of individual psychodrama therapy with an auxiliary into the formal training curriculum.
