<p>The climate crisis requires a&#xa0;reduction in energy consumption. Part of this was the German government’s decision in the winter of 2022/23 to lower the room temperature in public buildings to 19&#xa0;degrees in response to the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. An exploratory interview study shows how this was perceived by those affected. From an ecofeminist-intersectional perspective, it reconstructs a&#xa0;still effective norm for temperature perception that is oriented towards the model of the capable, male, and white body.</p>
