<p>Relying on the recent extension of structured deformations in the <i>BD</i> setting, we provide an alternative approach to the theory of structured deformations in the context of linearized elasticity for the case of growth one. Moreover, we show that not all symmetric-quasiconvex bulk relaxed energy densities can be obtained within the context of structured deformations in <i>BD</i>.</p>

Relying on the recent extension of structured deformations in the BD setting, we provide an alternative approach to the theory of structured deformations in the context of linearized elasticity for the case of growth one. Moreover, we show that not all symmetric-quasiconvex bulk relaxed energy densities can be obtained within the context of structured deformations in BD.
