<p>The genus <i>Amanita</i> is a well-known, large monophyletic genus of fungi with a wide distribution; the species of which are of great ecological importance due to their ectomycorrhizal status. However, the diversity of <i>Amanita</i> species in Russia has been underestimated. Here, we describe three new species of <i>Amanita</i> (<i>A. firma</i>, <i>A. quasibattarrae</i>, and <i>A. recondita</i>) from the Far East territory based on morphological and phylogenetic evidence. To determine the taxonomic status and phylogenetic position of the studied species multi-locus phylogenetic trees of <i>Amanita</i> subg. <i>Amanita</i> sect. <i>Vaginatae</i> subg. and <i>Amanitina</i> sect. <i>Amidella</i> are inferred based on the internal transcribed spacer region (nrITS), large subunit nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nrLSU), and the translation elongation factor 1-alpha (<i>TEF1-α</i>). The detailed descriptions and illustrations of the novel taxa are provided with the comparisons to closely related species.</p>
