<p>During a survey of micro-fungi associated with medicinal plants in China, five fungal strains were isolated from <i>Mahonia</i> in Guizhou Province. Based on detailed morphological characterization and multi-gene phylogenetic analyses, we introduce two novel species, <i>Brunneofusispora mahoniae</i> and <i>Phragmocephala pseudoprolifera</i>, with comprehensive illustrations and descriptions. Additionally, we report two new host records for <i>Nigrograna oleae</i> and <i>Phaeoseptum manglicola</i>. The current taxonomic status of <i>Phragmocephala</i> is discussed, and the phylogenetic placement of its generic type, <i>P. cookei</i>, is hypothesized. These findings contribute to fungal taxonomy and biodiversity studies, offering insights into the saprobic species associated with <i>Mahonia</i> in this region.</p>
