A new genus of Mycosphaerellaceae associated with leaf spots in Philodendron sp. from the Brazilian Atlantic forest
摘要
During research on the diversity of fungi associated with plants in the Atlantic Forest areas in Brazil, four mycosphaerellaceous fungal isolates were recovered from leaf spot symptoms in Philodendron sp. The identification of the isolates was made by observation of morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of LSU, RPB2, and ITS loci. Based on these data, a new genus of Mycosphaerellaceae was proposed as Atlanticus and a new combination as Atlanticus philodendri (Pat. & Gaillard) E.S.O. da Silva, J.A.S. Melo & A.R. Machado.
