Die Versorgung von Menschen mit einer Alkoholabhängigkeitserkrankung in Deutschland aus der Sicht von Langzeitabstinenten
摘要
The aim of the study was to explore in depth the experiences of members of various self-help groups for alcohol-dependent individuals in the German healthcare system and to derive practical suggestions for improvement by those affected.
MethodsIn addition to basic sociodemographic data, electronic questionnaires were used to record utilization, experiences, and ideas for improvement in the German addiction support network. These were then evaluated using qualitative content analysis according to Mayring.
ResultsOut of 249 responses, 164 were included in the final analysis. Among participants, 90% had been addicted to alcohol for 6 years or longer; 38% reported care deficits (e.g., lack of knowledge about the disease); and 18% expressed social problems (e.g., prejudices). Suggestions for improvement concerned networking and cooperation (43%), transition phases (33%), and a stronger presence of services (27%).
ConclusionOur findings highlight support deficits during early rehabilitation processes (e.g., transitions between measures) and later reintegration stages (e.g., social and professional readjustment). To prevent relapse and ensure sustainable reintegration, it is essential to identify and promote individualized support factors.
