<p>Conferences of professional organizations rely on proposal submissions, where interested members and non-members submit their ideas for consideration. The quality of these proposals is crucial for the impact of the conference and the field, the professional development of its members, and the achievement of the organization’s goals. This study reviewed proposals submitted to the Systems Thinking and Change (STC) Division of the Association of Education Communications and Technology (AECT) to identify trends, content, and quality to inform strategies for attracting high-quality proposals. Our review revealed that STC attracted a range of proposals focused on various topics but often lacked a clear connection to STC’s call and mission. While this study examined STC proposal submissions, its implications extend beyond the division and offer valuable insights that can guide similar divisions and organizations.</p>
