<p>This systematic review aimed to evaluate the prevalence, risk factors, and outcomes of technology addiction among nursing students. This research investigates the global prevalence and risk factors of technology addiction among nursing students, given its considerable threat to their well-being and academic success. A systematic review and meta-analysis were undertaken. Five electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, CINAHL) and one academic search engine (Google Scholar) were searched. The keywords used were “Nursing Student,” “Prevalence,” “Technology Addiction,” “Mobile Phone Addiction,” and “Video Game Addiction,” along with their synonyms. The primary search covered data from the inception of each database to April 1, 2025, and the update search ran until June 1, 2025. Two reviewers independently assessed the quality of the included studies. Bias assessment of included studies used the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal Checklist for Prevalence Studies. The analysis was performed using STATA version 17 statistical software. Eighty studies with 37,579 participants were included. The pooled prevalence of smartphone addiction was 38.4% (95% CI 29.7–47.1). Internet addiction prevalence was 36% (95% CI 10.5–61.6). Nomophobia prevalence for moderate and high levels was 40.7% and 22.3%, respectively. Social media addiction prevalence was 34.8% (95% CI 24.7–48.9). Smartphone addiction showed positive associations with anxiety, loneliness, sleep disturbance, and stress, and negative associations with self-control and self-esteem. Given the notable prevalence of technology addiction among nursing students, the development and implementation of digital wellness modules and self-regulation training programs are deemed essential.</p>
