Investigation of FOM, Sensitivity, and Refractive Index in Silicon Optical Fiber Based on Circuit Model
摘要
The optical fiber ring enhanced detection technology is used to demonstrate a surface plasmon resonance sensing system. The optical fiber sensor has an extended detection range and a high detection rate. We also look into several performance metrics like the figure of merit (FOM), refractive index, absorption, and sensitivity. Based on plasmon-induced absorption (PIA), reflection and the use of silicon optical fiber can improve the sensitivity of (PIA). The experimental results based on fiber ring resonators agree with the stated simulations and measurements based on an optical fiber structure. Thus, the proposed structure provides a new road to optical fiber sensors.
