Studying the Optical and Plasmonic Properties of Epipremnum Aureum Leaves
摘要
In this work, the reflectivity and transmittance were measured at several points on the leaves of Epipremnum aureum, the average values were found at each wavelength, and the light absorption at each wavelength was calculated. Then, we compared the measured and calculated spectra for the upper and lower sides of the leaf, and analyzed the light absorption spectra to identify the chlorophyll absorption peaks. The results were interpreted with the help of optical microscope images of the upper and lower sides of the leaf. The results showed the presence of surface plasmon activity on the leaf surfaces, and this activity appeared clearly in the reflectance spectra of the lower surface. The plasmon absorption peaks were also monitored in the light absorption spectra. On the other hand, the absorption peaks of chlorophyll (a) and (b) were detected by analyzing the absorption spectra using the peak fit software, and the percentage of each was determined.
