Perioperatives Management von Menschen mit Diabetes mellitus: Rehabilitation
摘要
Medical rehabilitation is a process that is often necessary for people after hospitalization to help them to learn to better cope with their illness or the special diagnosis. Handling of the new personal situation changed by the disease is decisive for further social participation and professional return to work of the person affected. Starting at end of the 19th century, Germany developed a rehabilitation system, which exists in no other country in the world in this form. However, people with diabetes mellitus receive nearly no rehabilitation specifically due to their diabetes alone. They are in rehabilitation because of other diseases, although rehabilitation would also be feasible in many cases as “follow-up-treatment”.
