Künstliche Intelligenz im Gesundheitswesen – Möglichkeiten, Herausforderungen und Potenzial
摘要
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is raising high expectations, particularly in the area of decision support, for example in emergency departments during long shifts. Nevertheless, the practical implementation of many AI models in everyday clinical practice is still limited. This raises the question of which obstacles stand in the way of broader use. This article draws on practical experiences and general analyses to examine the factors hindering widespread application of AI in healthcare and the measures needed to overcome these hurdles. National initiatives such as the Network of University Medicine (NUM) show that viable structures for AI applications already exist. At the same time, examples such as the automation of repetitive tasks (denoted as tedious tasks) illustrate that a great deal of untapped potential can be exploited relatively easily through the targeted use of AI methods.
