摘要

In this forum article, I reflect on the article “Intra-action analysis of emergent science phenomena: examining meaning-making with the more than human in science classrooms” by Rishi Krishnamoorthy published in CSSE in 2023. I problematize the results in relation to Karen Barad’s ontology agential realism and argue for the advantages of diffraction analysis on the data material collected. I introduce the concept More of Human as a way to draw attention to the student in the classroom and acknowledge situated social structures such as emotions and gender. Based on observations described in the article, I discuss the role of emotions in science education in relation to the purpose of experimental activities.
