摘要

Twenty-one diarylheptanoid derivatives including five symmetric and sixteen asymmetric, which were synthesized previously, evaluated for their antioxidant and antiproliferative activities. Among these, asymmetric diarylheptanoid 22 exhibited the most potent antioxidant effects. Compound 22 demonstrated a DPPH radical scavenging of 8.6 µM and, at a concentration of 100 µM, achieved 78.2% scavenging and 46.5% ferrous ion chelating activity. Combined with its relatively low toxicity against tested cell lines, 22 is a promising candidate for the treatment of diseases driven by oxidative stress.
