Ant Colony Optimization Based User Pairing, Power Allocation and Relaying in a Cooperative NOMA System
摘要
This article analyses the performance of NOMA incorporating cooperative relaying mechanism and MIMO technique for a power unbalanced scenario. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm is used for clustering users based on the maximization of intra-cluster covariance. For comparative analysis, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is used for clustering the user pairs. It was determined that ACO has better performance compared to PSO by comparing the outage performance for SISO and MIMO techniques. The far end user has an outage probability of 0.01 at 5 dB for MIMO-CNOMA incorporating ACO clustering algorithm and 0.075 is the outage probability of far end user at 5 dB for MIMO-CNOMA incorporating PSO clustering algorithm. The overall system information rate is improved by the use of ACO based clustering with MIMO for a cooperative-relaying based strategy.
