Treatments consisted of control and four dilutions of aquaculture effluent (AE) in supply water (SW): C – 100% SW + 0% AE; D1 – 75% SW + 25% AE; D2 – 50% SW + 50% de AE; D3 – 25% SW + 75% AE; and D4 – 0% SW + 100% AE. The following soil attributes were analyzed: particle size, available water (AW), flocculation index (FI), bulk density (BD), aggregates, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, P, K+, (H + Al), total organic carbon (TOC), soil water retention curve, macroporosity, microporosity, total porosity and Kr. Data interpretation was performed using multivariate statistics (Pearson’s correlation matrix, Factor Analysis and Principal Component Analysis). Macro-arthropods were analyzed according to the ecological indices of Shannon (H’), Pielou (e) and Simpson (S). Dilution D1 favored soil microporosity, TOC, Mg2+ and Na+, D2 favored FI, and D3 favored macroporosity and mean-weight diameter of aggregates. These results indicate that the concentration of 25% of aquaculture effluent diluted in the water supply is a sustainable and favorable alternative for soil functionality, as well as reducing dependence on the use of drinking water for irrigation.</p>

摘要

Using aquaculture effluents in irrigation is a sustainable alternative to address water scarcity in the Brazilian semi-arid region. Based on this, the objective of this study was to evaluate the changes in the physical-hydraulic and chemical attributes of the soil, as well as in the edaphic macrofauna, with the application of different dilutions of these effluents, in an area of cochineal cactus cultivation. The experiment was conducted using a randomized block design, with five treatments and five replicates. Treatments consisted of control and four dilutions of aquaculture effluent (AE) in supply water (SW): C – 100% SW + 0% AE; D1 – 75% SW + 25% AE; D2 – 50% SW + 50% de AE; D3 – 25% SW + 75% AE; and D4 – 0% SW + 100% AE. The following soil attributes were analyzed: particle size, available water (AW), flocculation index (FI), bulk density (BD), aggregates, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, P, K+, (H + Al), total organic carbon (TOC), soil water retention curve, macroporosity, microporosity, total porosity and Kr. Data interpretation was performed using multivariate statistics (Pearson’s correlation matrix, Factor Analysis and Principal Component Analysis). Macro-arthropods were analyzed according to the ecological indices of Shannon (H’), Pielou (e) and Simpson (S). Dilution D1 favored soil microporosity, TOC, Mg2+ and Na+, D2 favored FI, and D3 favored macroporosity and mean-weight diameter of aggregates. These results indicate that the concentration of 25% of aquaculture effluent diluted in the water supply is a sustainable and favorable alternative for soil functionality, as well as reducing dependence on the use of drinking water for irrigation.
