<p>Simona Aimar proposes the bold thesis that dispositional ascriptions are semantically equivalent to possibility claims. She goes on to deal with some apparent counterexamples to her thesis by suggesting that dispositional ascriptions and the corresponding possibility claims interact with the context differently. I will argue, though, that Aimar’s suggestion doesn’t hold water. I will argue further that this poses a serious problem for Aimar’s possibility conception of dispositions.</p>
